NFL DRAFT ROUND 1 WINNERS AND LOSERS

NFL DRAFT ROUND 1 WINNERS AND LOSERS
Who will be the steal of Round 4 in the 2020 NFL Draft?

The first round of the NFL Draft is in the books lets take a look at some of the winners and losers of the first day of the NFL Draft

WINNERS

  • Miami- The Dolphins were the most talked about team all week with all the talk about what they would do with this pick. The Dolphins have spent the last two years focused on Tua and they got their guy. If he stays healthy he has the highest upside in this draft. That alone could of made them a winner but using their next two picks on Austin Jackson a solid tackle and reached for Corner Noah Igbinoghene who has great potential. This could be a draft we look at in 5 years that turned this franchise around.
  • San Francisco-  The team that was close to winning the Super Bowl had a great first day of the draft to get them back in this position. Trading back one pick and getting the player I thought they would Javon Kinlaw who is a high level defensive tackle and then they come back and grab a receiver who I am really high on in Brandon Aiyuk which is another weapon for Kyle Shanahan.
  • Denver and Dallas- Both these teams really found themselves in good spots to get weapons for their young Quarterbacks. Jerry Jeudy I think is gonna be an All Pro receiver and him dropping to Denver with the weapons they have and a young QB in Drew Lock this is a great pick. The Cowboys had CeeDee Lamb who is not behind of Jeudy fall right to them and give another guy for Dak to throw too and open up the defense for Cooper to work.
  • Baltimore- Patrick Queen has great upside and could be one the best players in the draft and falls to a great team and situation
  • Kansas City-    You give the best player in the world another great weapon in Clyde Edwards-Helaire who fits their system perfectly and has played in big games and situations. Just another weapon for Mahomes and Reid to use.
  • Minnesota- I like both picks here that the Vikings made but I like the second the most. Yes I think Justin Jefferson will be a good player and a good weapon for the Vikings. The pick of Gladley the corner out of TCU was one of my favorite picks of the draft. He is a sleeper pick.
LOSERS
  • Green Bay- Lets just get this out of the way. You are coming off a 13 win season that you were a game away from the Super Bowl and have an all time great QB in win now mode. With a draft that is loaded with Wide Receivers that can help him out for the next few years. You go with a QB and one that is not a slam dunk at all. Jordan Love while talented had a very shaky season last year. Yes it will be a couple years before he thinks about going on the field but the only way this is a good pick is if he is a Hall of Fame level player. You also just soured the relationship of your franchise player.
  • Both New York Football Teams- While I like the Giants pick a little bit more than the Jets I am not a fan of both teams being safe here. With The Giants I get drafting Andrew Thomas who some say is the best O-Linemen and will help Jones and Barkley, but they could of easily traded back and got a couple picks and took a Linemen and get more help or take one of the top defensive  players either Isiah Simmons or Derrick Brown. The Jets I think took the biggest risk and most likely bust in Mekhi Becton who has a lot of question marks. They also signed a few O-Linemen as well so they tried to help the line and protection already. I strongly believe they should of took one of the top Wide Rcivers and give Darnold another weapon. The Jets were last last year in big plays. They are looking like they will be down that road again this up coming season.
