If the Brooklyn Nets get Dwight Howard and keep Deron Williams where do they rank in the East?

The big new in sports right now is the Brooklyn Nets. They made a trade for Joe Johnson, they are about to re sign Deron William, and are in talks about Dwight Howard coming to Brooklyn. The Nets also re signed small forward Gerald Wallace to a 4 year deal. With a lot of stuff still to play out the question is where would the Nets big three put them among the east elite?

To me if these moves happen this moves the Nets right to the elite of the east. Right up there with the Heat, Bulls, Celtics, and the Pacers. The Nets would have as formidable as a core in the league as any other team in basketball. Lets be honest the Heat are still the team to beat in the league next year. Other then that next season as far as the east goes who is the number two team? The Bulls are going to be with out Derrick Rose until maybe January. The Celtics who are having a great off season still have a older core and you really don't know what you are getting out of them. The Pacers are a young team and are in danger of losing Roy Hibbert. The Knicks still have to figure out have all there parts are going to mix. So this may be a perfect time to the Nets to come in and make an impact,

This much we know the Nets will be an improved team next season. They will also be a playoff team as well. If they get Dwight they will have the top center in the league and one of the top 3 point guards in the game. Match that with a top level shooting guard Joe Johnson and Gerald Wallace. The Nets will be a contender for Championship and bring it to Brooklyn. As well as become New Yorks top basketball team all in one fail swoop.
