SIXERS USE AMNESTY ON ELTON BRAND
Some pretty surprising news came out of Philly today as the 76ers cut Elton Brand. Brand who was do 18 million dollars next season was the leader of Phillys team. A team who made it to the second round and went to game 7 against the Boston Celtics. This isnt a done deal just yet. Philly  can’t use the amnesty clause until teams can start signing players on July 11. Teams under the salary cap can place bids on Brand through the amnesty wire with the highest bid claiming him. Teams currently under the cap include the Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets. If no team claims Brand he becomes a free agent.
