MLB ALL STAR STARTERS AND RESERVES UNVEILED WHO SHOULD BE A STARTER AND WHO SHOULD'NT
Today it was announced who the players are for the 83rd MLB All Star game. Like always people are gonna have their thoughts on who should be in and out. For this post I am gonna give you the rosters and who I feel should be starting. The reason why is because I feel it is to soon to say who and who isn't a snub for the game itself because a lot of time the right players most of the time make it.

Who should be starting and who shouldn't..
Ryan Braun in place of Melky Cabrera....
Braun has better number all across the board (Braun: Average:313 Homers: 22 RBI: 55 Steals 13 Melky: Average : 350 Homers: 7 RBIs: 38 Steals: 10) . Other then average and hits Braun has Melky beat. Braun up until he got hurt last week was on a better pace then his MVP last year. To me Melky should be an All Star but Braun should be the starter along with the next player I am about to mention.
Carlos Gonzalez in place of Carlos Beltran..
This one is a little but closer to me then the other argument. Both players number are close to each other ( Caro: Average: 337 Homers: 17 RBI: 58 Runs: 59 Steals: 10 Beltran Average: 310 Homers: 20 RBI: 61 Runs: 48 Steals: 7.) What gives the edge to Cargo is the fact the Troy Tulowitzki has been out for so long. While Beltran is on the better team I think that if you look at the who picture Cargo should be there.
David Wright in place of Pablo Sandoval..
This to me is the most questionable one. Wright has better numbers and its not even close. Wright has Sandoval beat all over ( Wright: Average: 355 Homers: 9 RBIs: 50 Runs: 52 Steals: 8 Sandoval Average: 307 Homers 6 RBIs: 25 Runs: 6 Steals: 0). Wright is a better fielder and there teams have just about the same record. This was more of a fan driven selection.
Adam Jones in place of Jose Bautista..
While the stats may not show it ( Jones Average: 300 Homers: 19 RBIs: 41 Runs: 51 Steals: 10 Bautista Adam Jones should be starting instead of Jose Bautista Average: 239 Homers: 26 RBIs 62 Runs: 56 Steals:4). Jones has been more consistent then Bautista. He
is a better all around player and should get rewarded for it.
Miguel Cabera in place of Adrian Beltre..
This one I dont get at all (Cabera Average: 315 Homers: 16 RBIs: 62 Runs: 45 Steals:3 Beltre: Average: 328 Homers:14 RBIs: 52 Runs: 45 Steals: 1) . Miguel Cabera is one of the top 10 players in the game right now and yet he is not an all star? This one is more of a vote that shows how popular the Rangers have become. Beltre is an All Star but not over Cabera who is having another great year. It is gonna be really sad not seeing Cabera as a starter years from now.
Matt Wieters in place of Mike Napoli..
Mike Napoli is not an every day catcher.So he shouldn't be a starter. Matt Weiters to me should be in the game and starting no numbers needed hes an every day catcher and I think he is the best catcher in the AL.
Should Matt Kemp be in the game and starting?
Matt Kemp has been one of the top 5 players in the game who ever says he shouldn't be starting or in the game don't know what they are talking about.
Starting Pitchers......
To me when it comes to an All Star game and the starting pitchers you can most years go with anyone unless a player is having a great year. To me I go with the pitchers that fans wanna see go against the biggest and best stars in the league. To me this years starters should be Justin Verlander and Stephen Strasburg. To see these two pitchers go up against the best is something as a fan i wanna see. To see Strasburg go up against the likes of Derek Jeter, Robinson Cano and Josh Hamilton. Also seeing Verlander going up against likes Joey Votto and Matt Kemp. That as a fan is something I would love to see.
