Knicks and Nash work on sign and trade deal...
A day after the Brooklyn Nets Re signed their all star point guard the other New York basketball team looks to get their own all star point guard. News has came out today that the Knicks are in talks with Nash and the Suns for a sign and trade deal. The deal would involve Nash getting a 3 year 30 million dollar contract and the Suns and Knicks doing a trade that would send Nash to the Knicks and the Suns getting Iman Shumpert, Tony Douglas, and Dan Gadzuric.

Nash The former two time MVP has had the Knicks high on his list of teams for a while now. The thought of joining Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler, and Amare Stoudemire has interested Nash for a while now. This move proves that the Knicks are in a win now mode. They would have gotten rid of Iman Shumpert and Landry Feilds two young guys they drafted and developed. This also is a big blow to the Knicks defense with Shumpert being one of the better wing defenders in the game. The plus is the Knicks got a great point guard who is respected and will make everyone around him better. Is this enough to compete with the Heat, Bulls, Celtics, and now even the re tooled Brooklyn Nets.
